Westcliff University is a private university with its main campus in Irvine, California. It received its first state approval in 1993 and is accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC), which covers all of its degrees and certificates. Its business administration degrees are also accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
Westcliff has campuses in Irvine, Corona, Los Angeles and San Francisco (California), Dallas (Texas), Miami and Orlando (Florida), and Toronto (Canada). It teaches through the College of Business, College of Education, College of Technology & Engineering, College of Nursing and Western State College of Law.

Admission requirements
- Undergraduate: high school transcript or equivalent (HSC), with a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA.
- Master’s: a bachelor’s degree with a minimum 2.50 cumulative GPA.
- Doctoral: a master’s degree with a minimum 2.50 cumulative GPA.
- Proof of funds: a bank statement or bank letter issued within the last 90 days, plus a sponsor affidavit if someone else is funding you. The minimum amount depends on the program.
- Application fee: USD $50 (non-refundable). A tuition deposit is required to enrol for your chosen term.

An English Medium of Instruction letter from your previous degree is also accepted if you do not have a test score. PTE is not on Westcliff’s approved list. Requirements as of October 2026 and subject to change.
Intakes and deadlines (F-1 students, 2026–27)
- January 4, 2027 start: applications closed October 12, 2026.
- March 1, 2027 start: apply by December 7, 2026.
- May 3, 2027 start: apply by February 8, 2027.
- June 28, 2027 start: apply by April 5, 2027.
Applications that are incomplete by the deadline are cancelled, so start early and leave time for your US student visa interview.
Tuition and costs (2026–27)
- Undergraduate: USD $797 per credit (120 credits).
- Master’s: USD $835 per credit (standard) or $875 (professional programs), usually 36 credits.
- Doctoral: USD $920 per credit (standard) or $975 (professional), 60 credits.
- Fees: registration $25 and technology fee $150 per semester, a one-time enrolment fee of $200 (California and Texas) and an I-20 processing fee of $200.
Tuition is paid directly to Westcliff University. Fees are set by the university and can change each year.
